I was commissioned by E4 to create style frames and illustrations for an episode of Reset & Rewind, an animated series that combines UK rap with mindfulness to explore mental health in a way that resonates with younger audiences.

Developed in partnership with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, the series blends animation and interview-led storytelling, featuring artists speaking openly about topics including trauma, body image, and mental wellbeing, alongside guided meditations.

This episode is led and voiced by singer Miraa May, who reflects on her experiences with unhelpful thinking and the tools she uses to manage them. The illustrations were informed by my own personal experience of negative thought patterns, using typography-led compositions to convey how all-consuming these thoughts can become. 

The final approach created in After Effects combines footage of Miraa speaking about her experience with hand-drawn illustrations, creating a layered mixed-media response that supports and extends the narrative. The animation was then brought together by Lily Shaul.
